American Onion is a large-scale onion packing and shipping operation located in Eastern Oregon. American Onion annualy ships over 175 million pounds of fresh onions to markets throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia. We operate nearly year round: from early July to mid-May every year. 100 million pounds of onions can be stored in our state of the art refrigerated storage facilites, so our onions are always fresh and safe.
    American Onion produces yellow, red, and white onions for fresh market, as well as Southport white onions for dehydrators. Our onions can be packed in mesh bags, consumer packs, as well as cartons. We have five labels to choose from: American Onions, Umatilla, Hale Family Farm, Roundup, and Hog's Best.
